CEO @ Tribal Impact | Connecting Business Growth To Employee Influence & Advocacy On Social Media

"What got you here won't get you there" - wise words from my mentor David Leyland, that have stuck in my head for the last four years. Companies won't evolve unless their people (especially their leaders) evolve first. I've just read an interesting article from McKinsey which highlights the three key mind-set shifts leaders must address: 📌 Fostering innovation with a mind-set of discovery 📌 Moving from authority to partnership 📌 Change attitude from scarcity to abundance Here's my take on the article with a little glimpse into #LifeAtTribal and our agile approach to growth. #culture #values #leadership #transformation #mindsetshift

Love this approach. As a Tribal newbie I haven’t met a single person face to face yet I feel part of a productive team. Thinking especially about the virtual coffee shop, video calls with colleagues all over the world and the weekly round up complete with cats and kids. Refreshing and fun, more organisations should work like this.

Good insights Sarah - I've been fascinated by this area. It's great that you've designed Tribal with agile in mind. Yesterday I was thinking that for organizations with a longer past and established ways of working that could use evolution, perhaps even the change itself could also start with small scale of experimentation. This could help the organization to de-risk and learn fast, in prep for larger scale of changes

Peter Hicks, this is very aligned to what we’ve been discussing recently, except Sarah explains it better than I do!

So much good stuff in your article. I just attended a new work event here in Germany yesterday, where I also held a workshop. You would have fit right in and made a great keynote speaker - maybe I will suggest you for next year!

Such a good article Sarah. I agree with Lee, the world could do with a few more people like you. :)

You’ve written so many insightful articles since I’ve known you Sarah Goodall but I think this is my favourite so far and the world needs more people like you. Love the “what got you here won’t get you there” phrase so much that I’m going to steal it and McKinsey & Company are so right in their article particularly on the moving from ‘authority to partnership’ & ‘scarcity to abundance’ points. Thank you for continuing to share your personal insights with us all & I just love seeing you ‘at the core of the Tribal gang’ 😀👍🏻
